Big data and digital health: more than just buzzwords.

Around the globe, the most renowned consultancies, such as McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group or Accenture, are exploring subjects related to digitalization. Without simply tossing around buzzwords, we are on the brink of a revolution in the area of medicine and healthcare. This subject is omnipresent in the U.S., where I work as CEO of LifeWatch, and initiatives to digitalize healthcare have already made great headway. Whether those of us in Europe want to accept it or not, the trend is becoming a reality and the way we handle medicine, physicians, diagnoses, treatments, etc. will change rapidly over the course of the next few years.
